How To Operate This Desktop Small Diamond Wire Saw

Steps for Operating the Device:

1. Wire Blade Installation:

   • Loosen the tension handle to install the diamond wire blade around the driven, passive, and guiding wheels.
   • Adjust the guiding wheels to match the cutting width and secure the wire blade by tightening the tension handle.

2. Sample Preparation:

   • Heat the sample and use wax or epoxy to bond it onto a graphite/aluminum plate.
   • Secure the plate on the working stage using the vise or screws for stability.

3. Cutting Setup:

   • Ensure proper power connection (AC 110-230V).
   • Attach coolant and drain pipes, making sure there are no leaks.
   • Adjust the micrometer for precise sample positioning.

4. Gravity Adjustment:

   • Adjust the gravity using the right side handle and the top balance weight to control the cutting pressure.
   • Position the guiding wheels according to the sample size, and set the stop point for automatic stopping after the cut.

5. Cutting Operation:

   • Turn on the machine and gradually increase the cutting speed.
   • Lower the swing arm until the diamond wire blade makes contact with the sample, and cutting begins smoothly.

6. Coolant:

   • Always use proper cutting fluid (oil-based coolant) to prevent machine corrosion and ensure the blade runs efficiently.

7. Post-Cutting:

   • Clean the machine after every use to prevent build-up and prolong its operational life.

These steps ensure safe and efficient operation of the saw. It is crucial to follow the gravity and tension adjustments closely to avoid damaging the blade.

Our SGD52 Endless Wire Saw  And Other Small Wire Saw

Our SGD52 is an endless loop diamond wire saws (use diamond wire loop as cutting tool) while  traditional wire saws are using spool-based diamond wire as cutting tool , here are the key differences:

1. Wire Length:

• Endless Loop Saws（our SGD 52): Use a short, closed-loop wire (typically  840 mm), continuously running in one direction.
• Spool-based Saws: Use a long wire (hundreds to thousands of meters), which needs to be rewound after each cut.

2. Speed and Cutting Quality:

• Endless Loop(our SGD 52): Higher cutting speed , with smoother cuts and no wire marks.
• Spool-based: Slower due to bi-directional motion, often leaving wire marks.
